Oracle Job Title: Thermodynamic Engineer

Description:

Vertiv is looking for a Thermodynamic HVAC/chiller Engineer to be part of the Thermal Management mechanical Design team within the RD Department, based in Chakan, Pune-India. He/She will be mainly focused on the Chiller products.

Responsibilities Role Requirements:

- To manage the development of new RD chiller product in the data center cooling sector for high profile and well-known global datacenter customers.
- Deliver a rapid and customer focused response on engineered to order (ETO) projects, where a new solution is based on an existing and well proven platform.
- Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high-performance, cost-effective design and market leading innovation.
- To lead the design of new products or re-engineer existing ones, collaborating with Marketing, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the customers needs.
- Autonomous component selections, thermodynamic design and technical file arrangement for chiller products.
- To approve and review product documentation (CAD drawings, specifications, bills of material).




- To meet objectives of cost, quality, environment and time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.
- To analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility.
- Availability to travel on request overseas.
- A good level of experience in the Chiller/HVAC sector with particularly good knowledge of Thermodynamics and refrigeration.

Qualifications Experience

- A minimum of a master s in mechanical engineering is required.
- At least 5-7 years of previous working experience on similar projects, ideally in the HVAC/chiller sector.
- Good knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles are essential.
- English - Intermediate level - written and spoken.
- A high level of motivation combined with leadership abilities is required.
- Knowledge of technical norms and standards.
- Competence: result-oriented, team player, careful to details, flexible.
