Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled SQL Developer with 4–8 years of experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing database solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL programming, database performance tuning, and query optimisation.

The candidate will work closely with development teams, business analysts, and technical leads to build efficient, scalable, and reliable database solutions that support business applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
- Write complex SQL queries to support application functionality and business requirements.
- Analyse and optimise SQL queries for improved database performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot database performance issues, blocking, deadlocks, and indexing challenges.
- Design and maintain database schemas, tables, relationships, and indexes.
- Perform database maintenance, data migration, and data validation activities.
- Work with development teams to understand application requirements and implement effective database solutions.
- Participate in database design reviews and contribute to technical discussions.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and reliability.
- Analyse and resolve production database issues.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow database development best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server.




- Strong proficiency in T-SQL programming.
- Excellent knowledge of Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Triggers, and CTEs.
- Good understanding of database design, normalisation, and relational database concepts.
- Strong experience in SQL query optimisation and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with indexing strategies, execution plans, and query analysis.
- Understanding of transactions, locking, blocking, and deadlock management.
- Experience in database backup, restore, and maintenance activities.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a development team.

Good to Have
- Experience working with SQL Server databases hosted on AWS RDS.
- Knowledge of database performance monitoring and optimisation.
- Exposure to database deployment, version control, and CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with .NET applications and understanding of how applications interact with databases.
- Experience handling large databases and high-volume transactional systems.
