1. Job Purpose

To plan, execute, supervise, and monitor solar power projects, ensuring timely completion within approved budgets, technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

1. Key Responsibilities

Project

Planning &

- Execution

- Plan and execute solar projects from site survey to final commissioning.

- Monitor daily site activities and project progress.

- Ensure project completion within the approved timeline and budget.

- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth project execution.

B. Technical &

- Engineering

- Conduct site surveys and assess technical feasibility.

- Review solar PV layouts, electrical drawings, and Single Line Diagrams (SLD).

- Supervise installation of solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and electrical panels.

- Ensure proper DC/AC cable sizing, earthing, and lightning protection.

C. Vendor &

- Contractor Management

- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and installation teams.

- Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment availability at project sites.

- Verify material receipts and installation quality.





- Monitor contractor work and certify actual site progress.

D. Quality &

- Safety

- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and technical specifications.

- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.

- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and HSE requirements.

- Identify and resolve technical issues during project execution.

E. Testing &

- Commissioning

- Coordinate testing and commissioning of solar PV systems.

- Monitor inverter synchronization and grid connectivity.

- Coordinate with DISCOM and other authorities for required approvals.

- Ensure successful commissioning and project handover.

F. Reporting &

- Documentation

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.

- Maintain site records, inspection reports, BOQ, and material records.

- Prepare project completion reports and as-built drawings.

- Report project delays and technical issues to management.
