Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Solar Design Engineer to handle engineering design and technical planning for rooftop and ground-mounted solar power projects.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in solar PV system design, electrical drawings, capacity calculations, BOQ preparation, technical documentation and solar design software.

Candidates with experience in Solar EPC companies, renewable energy projects, rooftop solar systems and utility-scale ground-mounted solar power plants are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare complete solar PV system designs for rooftop and ground-mounted projects.
- Develop detailed electrical and engineering drawings for solar installations.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), layouts and schematic drawings.
- Perform solar PV capacity calculations and system sizing.
- Design DC and AC electrical systems, including cable sizing and protection selection.
- Prepare module layouts, inverter layouts and equipment placement drawings.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material specifications and technical documentation.
- Work on inverter selection, module configuration and string sizing.
- Coordinate with project, procurement and execution teams.
- Review site survey reports and incorporate site conditions into the design.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical standards and project specifications.
- Support project teams during installation, testing and commissioning.
- Coordinate with clients,



consultants and technical teams for design approvals.
- Revise drawings and technical documents based on project requirements.

- Residential Rooftop Solar Systems
- Commercial & Industrial Rooftop Solar
- Grid-Connected Solar Systems
- On-Grid and Hybrid Solar Systems
- Ground-Mounted Solar Power Plants
- MW-Scale Solar EPC Projects
- Solar Power Plants with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in solar design or electrical engineering.
- Strong understanding of solar PV system design and electrical engineering principles.
- Practical experience with AutoCAD and PVsyst.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and site survey reports.
- Knowledge of solar project execution requirements.
- Positive coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project designs and meet deadlines.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
