Who We’re Looking For

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team at Canopy. This is a chance to make a real impact across multiple parts of our business. If you're someone who likes moving fast, figuring things out as you go, and shipping code in an agile environment, you'll fit right in. You'll be working on the technology infrastructure that powers our platform, building applications for both clients and internal teams, and creating tools that give us a real edge in the market. It's early days in our industry, so you'll have the opportunity to help shape where we're headed.

What You'll Do

- Design and develop complex software systems in Python and C# that power how businesses handle critical document workflows.
- Team up with product managers, data scientists, and engineers who like tackling tough problems.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to technical problems.
- Explore new technologies, try things out, and level up your skills while making our platform faster and better.
- Create clean, maintainable and efficient code with a team that cares about quality.
- Use AI coding assistants, experiment with new models, and help us figure out how to build smarter document processing systems.

Your Qualifications

- 5+ years building and shipping software that customers actually use.
- Comfortable in a rapid-paced, startup-like environment where you jump in and get things done.
- Experience with distributed systems and processing data at scale.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (we want to hear what you think works and what doesn't).
- Experience with distributed systems and data processing at scale.

- Technical Skills
- Required: Python, C#, AWS, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch
- Preferred: MongoDB/Postgres, Docker/Kubernetes, JavaScript

- Experience with file/document processing pipelines, ediscovery platforms, or document management systems (highly preferred).
- Ability to work full-time from our office in Pune, India.
