Role Description The Senior Pipeline Closure Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for leading the design and analysis of pipeline closure systems, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with relevant standards and client specifications.

Day-to-day tasks include developing detailed design concepts, creating and reviewing engineering drawings and CAD models, and coordinating with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate closure designs into broader pipeline systems. The engineer will participate in design reviews, perform technical calculations, support product validation and testing,



and prepare documentation such as design reports and bill of materials. Collaboration with project managers, quality teams, and clients is expected to address technical queries, optimize designs, and support successful project delivery within schedule and budget.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills for complex pipeline closure systems.
- Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering expertise relevant to piping, pressure vessels, and structural analysis.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailing, and drawing generation.
- Candidates should possess a working understanding of Electrical Engineering principles for interfaces with instrumentation and control systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Several years of experience in pipeline, oil and gas, or industrial equipment design, preferably in closure or valve systems.
- Knowledge of relevant international standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API) and familiarity with FEA or other analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a rapid-paced engineering environment.
