Senior Graph Data Engineer (Neo4j / Cypher)

Location – Remote

Woking Hours – EST time zone (Either 2:00p.m to 10:00p.m IST / 5:30p.m to 2:30 IST)

Contract Duration – 6 months initially

Summary

Hands-on graph engineer responsible for implementing the graph data layer, including data modeling, ingestion, and performance optimization. Client is seeking programmers (Cypher), not administrators. The new hire will have strong internal support, including a lead with ~15 years of Neo4j experience and two advanced team members.

Required Qualifications

- 8+ years of data engineering experience
- Solid, demonstrable hands-on Neo4j experience (programming, not administration)
- Expertise in graph data modeling (nodes, relationships, indexing strategies)
- Proficiency in the Cypher query language
- Experience handling structured and unstructured data sources
- Knowledge of data pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Familiarity with APIs and/or event-driven ingestion
- Experience working in AWS environments

Responsibilities

- Design and implement graph data models
- Integrate multiple data sources into the graph platform
- Optimize query performance and scalability
- Collaborate on integration with the Subscription Worker
