:

Role Objective / Major Purpose of the Job To lead and manage all operations of the Cephalosporin Department, ensuring timely completion of packaging activities in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Schedule M, approved Batch Packaging Records (BPR), quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The role is responsible for productivity, manpower management, quality compliance, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives within the packing function.

Principal

Tasks & Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and monitor all Cephalosporin packing activities to achieve production schedules and business requirements.

Ensure timely execution of primary and secondary packaging operations while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Monitor daily packing output, productivity, and line efficiencies.

Optimize utilization of manpower, machines, and packaging materials.

Ensure proper line allocation and resource planning to meet dispatch commitments.

Ensure strict adherence to contamination control procedures applicable to Cephalosporin products.

Monitor personnel movement, material flow, cleaning practices, and segregation requirements.

Ensure compliance with dedicated facility requirements and approved cleaning validation procedures.





Drive initiatives to prevent cross-contamination and product mix-ups.

Ensure compliance with all EHS policies and procedures.

Promote a safe working setting and conduct safety reviews.

Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety standards.

Key Skills & Competencies

Functional / Technical

Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical packing operations and packaging technologies.

Expertise in Batch Packaging Records (BPR), reconciliation, and line clearance procedures.

Thorough understanding of cGMP, GDP, Data Integrity, and Quality Systems.

Knowledge of contamination control and dedicated facility requirements for Cephalosporin products.

Experience in deviation management, CAPA, change control, and audit management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
