Edifice Consultants Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Chief / Senior Designer to lead design development and deliver high-quality design documentation across diverse architectural projects. The role will focus on developing creative design solutions, ensuring accurate and comprehensive design documentation, coordinating with consultants, managing design teams, and delivering projects efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of design quality.

About the Role The Chief / Senior Designer will take responsibility for the quality and delivery of design portfolios for entrusted projects, ensuring that design solutions and documentation are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timelines.

The role requires strong architectural design capabilities, technical documentation expertise, coordination skills, and the ability to lead and develop design teams. The individual will work closely with Project Heads, sub-consultants, and other stakeholders to deliver well-coordinated design solutions while ensuring client satisfaction and smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Take complete responsibility for the quality of design portfolios for entrusted projects.
- Develop creative and innovative design solutions in response to project requirements and aspirations.
- Prepare complete and comprehensive design portfolios at every stage of the design process, supported by accurate and detailed documentation.
- Ensure the highest quality of design and drawing deliverables within agreed timelines and project requirements.




- Take ownership of statutory drawings for projects in Mumbai and the Mumbai region.
- Coordinate with sub-consultants and design support teams to ensure fully coordinated designs and comprehensive design documentation.
- Take complete responsibility for Edifice's scope of work related to the preparation of statutory submission drawings, including necessary coordination with permitting consultants for projects in Mumbai and the Mumbai region.
- Ensure adherence to planned manpower budgets and efficient utilisation of resources for each project activity.
- Ensure productive project delivery in line with planned resources and timelines.
- Provide timely and complete design solutions to clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the reporting team, facilitating professional growth, timely and fair assessments, and high levels of motivation.
- Continuously work towards personal professional development and achievement of agreed career advancement goals.
- Conduct internal presentations of final signed-off concept designs to all stakeholders, including Edifice Studio teams, regional teams, and external consultants.
- Ensure there are no client escalations arising from design coordination or documentation errors.




- Proactively identify potential design coordination or documentation-related issues and keep the Project Head informed of likely escalations.

What We're Looking For

- A qualified Architect with a B.Arch. degree and valid Council of Architecture (COA) registration.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in architectural design and design documentation, preferably within an architectural design consultancy.
- Strong experience in developing design solutions and preparing comprehensive design and drawing portfolios across project stages.
- Excellent architectural design sensibility, creativity, and the ability to translate project requirements into effective design solutions.
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings, technical documentation, detailing, and statutory submission requirements.
- Experience in coordinating with sub-consultants, consultants, and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Ability to manage design deliverables, manpower resources, and project timelines effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and developing designers and draughtsmen.
- Strong presentation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to design quality and documentation excellence.
