Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP Solution Lead / Project Coordinator with solid SAP functional knowledge, business analysis capabilities, and project delivery experience.

The role will act as a bridge between customers, business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, and technical developers, ensuring that business requirements are clearly understood, translated into appropriate solution designs, and delivered within agreed timelines.

The primary objective is to strengthen functional ownership and delivery coordination, allowing the existing SAP development team to focus on technical implementation while ensuring business alignment, solution quality, and predictable project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Business Requirements & Functional Analysis

- Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements.
- Conduct requirement-gathering workshops and functional discussions.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and development-ready requirements.
- Identify functional gaps, dependencies, and integration requirements.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and process flows.

2. SAP Solution Design & Functional Leadership
- Evaluate business requirements and recommend suitable SAP solutions.
- Provide functional guidance to SAP ABAP developers and integration teams.
- Review proposed solutions for functional accuracy and business alignment.
- Support SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and third-party integration requirements.
- Coordinate solution design reviews and technical feasibility discussions.
- Ensure consistency with SAP best practices and customer expectations.

3. Project Planning & Delivery Coordination
- Develop project plans, milestones, delivery schedules, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate tasks across functional, development, QA, and deployment teams.
- Track project progress, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.




- Conduct regular project reviews and communicate status to management.
- Identify potential delivery delays and initiate corrective actions.
- Support multiple concurrent SAP projects and customer engagements.

4. Stakeholder & Customer Management
- Serve as the primary functional and delivery coordination point for assigned projects.
- Facilitate communication between customers, internal teams, and management.
- Manage requirement clarifications, change requests, and scope discussions.
- Coordinate customer demonstrations, reviews, and solution walkthroughs.
- Ensure clear ownership, accountability, and timely resolution of open items.

5. Testing, Deployment & Delivery Assurance
- Define functional acceptance criteria and support test scenario preparation.
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, defect resolution, and customer sign-off.
- Verify that delivered functionality meets agreed requirements.
- Support deployment planning, go-live readiness, and post-production stabilization.
- Maintain functional documentation, project records, and delivery handover materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications

SAP Functional Knowledge

- Strong understanding of SAP business processes and functional modules.
- SAP FICO expertise preferred.
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC.
- Familiarity with SAP ABAP development concepts, BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, APIs, and integration scenarios.
- Ability to review functional specifications and communicate effectively with developers.

Project & Delivery Management

- Proven experience coordinating SAP implementation, enhancement, support, or integration projects.
- Strong requirement-gathering and functional documentation skills.
- Experience in project planning, task tracking, risk management, and delivery reporting.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience working directly with customers and cross-functional technical teams.

Communication & Leadership





- Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and delivery commitments.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant SAP functional and delivery experience.
- At least 2 years of SAP project coordination or functional leadership experience.
- SAP certification in FICO or S/4HANA is an advantage.
- Exposure to SAP integrations with external enterprise applications, financial systems, and reconciliation platforms.

Expected Deliverables The successful candidate will be responsible for :

- Clearly documented and validated customer requirements.
- Functional specifications ready for technical development.
- Approved solution designs with defined scope and acceptance criteria.
- Structured project plans, milestones, and delivery trackers.
- Regular project status reports with risks, blockers, and action items.
- Coordinated SIT, UAT, customer sign-offs, and deployments.
- Improved predictability, quality, and timeliness of SAP project delivery.

Role Positioning This is a functional leadership and delivery coordination role, not a hands-on ABAP development position.

The candidate must possess sufficient SAP functional and technical understanding to guide development teams, resolve requirement ambiguities, coordinate stakeholders, and take ownership of delivery commitments.
