SAP MDG Techno Functional

Role summary:

We are looking for an SAP MDG consultant to own the design, build, and support of Master Data Governance for financial master data

You will cover the MDG data model and UI, replication to target systems, and the transport / integration landscape that supports them.

Key responsibilities:

- Configure and extend MDG data models (USMD model, entity types, change request types, business activities) and keep them consistent across DEV, QA, and PROD.
- Build and enhance MDG UIs using FPM/OVP, including feeder classes, implementations, event handling.
- Custom process modelling activities like workflow routing knowledge, BRF+ .
- IDOCS, DRFOUT, replication models, filters, and outbound implementations.
- Diagnose SMT/Code Composer generation issues and apply the relevant SAP Notes.
- Develop and maintain MDG workflows, and analyze work item issues with change requests, workflows, and dumps.




- Document functional and technical specifications and support UAT and production issues.

Required qualifications:

- 5+ years of SAP experience, including experience on SAP MDG (MDG-F strongly preferred).
- Hands-on ABAP (OO ABAP, DDIC, ALV, BAPIs, dynamic field access) and FPM/Web Dynpro.
- Working knowledge on BADIs, Function Modules and ABAP proxies.
- Experience with Charm-governed landscapes and transport management (STMS, SE03).
- Proven ability to debug cross-system replication issues using dumps, SLG logs and SXI monitors.
- Methodical root-cause analysis across DEV, QA, and PROD.
- Transparent technical documentation and functional specification writing.
- Comfortable working with both functional teams and Basis/security.
- Fluent communication to understand and discuss requirements with the client SMEs along with providing / suggesting best business flows
