SAP Analytics Cloud Developer – Specialist - Hyderabad

Position Overview

The SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Developer – Senior Analyst will develop, enhance, and support reporting and analytics solutions for Global Finance Services. The role is primarily focused on hands-on SAC story and dashboard development, data modeling, testing, documentation, and production support. The Senior Analyst will work within established architecture, security, and governance standards to translate finance and operational requirements into accurate, intuitive, and reliable analytics products.

The successful candidate will collaborate with business analysts, data teams, quality assurance teams, and reporting stakeholders to deliver solutions, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement.

Work You’ll Do

As part of the Global Finance Services Reporting and Analytics team, you will build and support SAC solutions that convert business requirements and complex data into explicit, actionable insights. You will contribute to the modernization of reporting by applying established development standards and delivering scalable, user-focused analytics products.

- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP Analytics Cloud stories, dashboards, and analytical applications based on defined business requirements.
- Transform finance and operational reporting requirements into intuitive visualizations, metrics, filters, drilldowns, and interactive features.
- Build and maintain SAC data models using dimensions, measures, hierarchies, calculations, and reusable business logic.
- Connect and validate data from SAP sources such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP HANA, and SAP Datasphere, as well as approved non-SAP sources.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, testing, and defect resolution to ensure reporting accuracy and reliability.
- Troubleshoot data, connectivity, refresh, performance, and user-access issues and coordinate resolution with the appropriate teams.
- Support dashboard performance tuning by optimizing calculations, filters, queries, and data-refresh processes.
- Apply established security, role-based access, development, and governance standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, quality assurance teams, subject matter experts, and end users throughout the development lifecycle.
- Prepare technical documentation, data definitions, test evidence, user guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Support deployments, production validation, maintenance, and enhancement activities.
- Provide work estimates, communicate progress and risks, and manage assigned deliverables with guidance from team leaders.

Work Location and Shift

Work Location: India, Hyderabad Shift Timings: 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.





Required Qualifications and Skills

- 3–6 years of experience developing business intelligence, analytics, or enterprise reporting solutions.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, including story and dashboard development, data models, calculations, filters, input controls, and linked analysis.
- Working knowledge of dimensional and semantic data-modeling concepts, including dimensions, measures, hierarchies, and calculated measures.
- Experience using SAP data sources such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, SAP HANA, or SAP Datasphere.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Understanding of finance reporting concepts, including actuals, budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Experience with requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
- Ability to troubleshoot data-quality, performance, refresh, connectivity, and user-access issues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage assigned priorities and deliver quality work within established timelines and standards.

Preferred Skills

- Exposure to SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, or related SAP cloud data and analytics services.
- Experience with SAC planning capabilities, including versions, data actions, allocations, forecasting, or scenario modeling.
- Experience with Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence, or another enterprise visualization platform.
- Familiarity with SAP BW queries, CompositeProviders, ADSOs, InfoObjects, SAP HANA calculation views, or related SAP data structures.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, or Power Pivot.
- Relevant SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP BW, SAP HANA, or SAP Business Data Cloud certification.
- Experience working with global, virtual, or cross-functional teams.

Portfolio Submission

- Candidates may provide one or two examples of dashboards or analytics solutions they have developed using SAP Analytics Cloud or a comparable enterprise reporting tool.
- Examples should briefly describe the business need, the candidate’s contribution, the data or modeling approach, and the outcome delivered.




- Anonymized or mock examples using public data are acceptable when confidentiality applies.
