Job Overview

We are looking for a technically competent, service-oriented, and proactive IT Resident Engineer to manage and support the day-to-day IT infrastructure and ELV systems at a prestigious 5-Star Hotel Property.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the hotel's IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control, fire alarm interfaces, IP telephony, and other technology-driven services.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in IT infrastructure support, network troubleshooting, ELV systems, and coordination with OEMs, vendors, and hotel departments to maintain high standards of operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure & Network Management

- Monitor and maintain the hotel's LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Ensure uninterrupted connectivity across guest rooms, restaurants, banquet halls, offices, and other hotel facilities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot guest Wi-Fi and corporate network connectivity.
- Maintain VLANs, IP addressing, network segmentation, and network security.
- Coordinate with ISPs for Internet connectivity and link-related issues.

2. Server & Systems Support

- Provide first-level support for servers, desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Monitor server connectivity and availability.
- Support hotel applications, PMS (Property Management System), POS (Point of Sale), and other operational software.
- Assist in backup monitoring, system updates, and routine maintenance.




- Coordinate with software vendors for application-related issues.

3. ELV & Security Systems Management

- Monitor and provide technical support for CCTV and video surveillance systems.
- Support Access Control and door locking systems.
- Coordinate maintenance and troubleshooting of Fire Alarm Systems and their integration with other building systems.
- Support Public Address (PA), background music, and paging systems.
- Coordinate with respective OEMs and service providers for preventive and corrective maintenance.

4. Guest Technology Support

- Ensure smooth operation of guest Wi-Fi and in-room connectivity.
- Provide prompt technical assistance for guest-related IT issues.
- Support IPTV, Smart TV, casting solutions, and other guest entertainment systems.
- Ensure minimum downtime of guest-facing technology services.

5. Daily Operations & Maintenance

- Conduct routine inspections of IT rooms, network racks, server rooms, and equipment.
- Monitor UPS, network connectivity, and critical IT infrastructure.
- Maintain IT asset inventories and equipment records.
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain proper technical documentation.
- Maintain daily incident reports, downtime reports, and maintenance logs.

6. Vendor & Department Coordination

- Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and external service providers.
- Work closely with the hotel's IT Manager and other department heads.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Assist in new installations,



upgrades, system integration, and infrastructure expansion.
- Follow up on AMC, warranty, and service-related activities.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of LAN/WAN networking, TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, and routing.
- Hands-on knowledge of managed switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi controllers.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Working knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, and PA systems.
- Understanding of structured cabling, fiber optics, and network rack management.
- Knowledge of hotel technology systems such as PMS, POS, IPTV, and IP telephony will be an advantage.
- Positive troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain technical documentation and operational reports.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.

Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or ELV system support.
- CCNA / CompTIA Network or relevant vendor certifications will be an added advantage.
