Job Requirements

5–10 years experience

B.E./B. Tech Civil / Diploma in Civil Engineering

Experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Estimation, BOQ preparation, Tendering and Commercial activities in Highway / Infrastructure / EPC / Construction projects.

Exposure to project costing, rate analysis, bid preparation and Business Development activities preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare detailed project cost estimates for highway, infrastructure and EPC projects based on project scope, drawings, specifications and available project information.

Prepare and review BOQ (Bill of Quantities), quantity take-offs and item-wise cost calculations.

Conduct detailed rate analysis for civil, structural, road, highway and infrastructure works.

Develop project-wise cost estimates, including material, labour, equipment, subcontractor and other project-related costs.

Prepare cost sheets, estimation summaries and comparative statements for management review.

Support preparation of tender estimates, commercial bids and proposals for current projects.

Review tender documents, BOQs, specifications, scope of work, contractual requirements and commercial conditions along with the contracts department.

Coordinate with the Business Development, Estimation, Projects, Procurement and Finance teams for preparation of competitive and commercially viable bids.





Obtain and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations and benchmark rates to ensure accuracy and competitiveness of estimates.

Maintain and update rate databases, material rates, labour rates and historical project cost data for future estimation and bidding activities.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, client discussions, site visits and tender clarification meetings, wherever required.

Coordinate with internal technical teams to ensure that technical proposals and cost estimates are aligned with project scope and execution methodology.

Review project risks, exclusions, assumptions and cost-impacting factors while preparing estimates.

Assist in preparation of cash-flow projections, cost benchmarks and project profitability analysis in coordination with Finance and Commercial teams.

Compare estimated costs with actual project costs and provide inputs for cost variance analysis and future estimation accuracy.

Maintain proper documentation of estimates, BOQs, rate analysis, quotations, tender submissions and commercial assumptions.

Support post-bid discussions, negotiations and revisions to commercial proposals as required.

Build and maintain a database of market rates, competitors, subcontractors, suppliers and project cost benchmarks.

Track project costs against approved budgets and identify cost overruns
