Role Description The Quality Manager is a full-time, in office role based at the Ahmednagar facility. This role is responsible for leading the quality function, including developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and standards for axle manufacturing. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring production quality metrics, conducting root cause analysis for defects, coordinating corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

The Quality

Manager collaborates closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement, reduce non-conformities, and enhance product reliability.



The role also involves managing quality audits, guiding quality inspectors and engineers, supporting new product introduction from a quality standpoint, and preparing reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Strong background in quality management systems and standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001), including experience with internal and external audits and documentation.
- Expertise in core quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC, with the ability to apply these tools to automotive manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with problem-solving and root cause analysis methods (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why), and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, preferably axles or drivetrain components, and familiarity with machining, assembly, and testing operations.
- Proficiency in data analysis, use of quality-related software and ERP systems, and preparation of clear, actionable quality reports and dashboards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and engage with customers and suppliers on quality topics.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring and guiding quality teams, setting performance expectations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced qualifications in quality or reliability
