Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Quality Engineer with knowledge of and practical experience in VDA 6.3 to join our Quality Assurance team. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality management systems, conducting process audits, ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automotive component manufacturing, preferably in rubber components, and a valuable understanding of IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and core quality tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct internal process audits as per VDA 6.3 requirements.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with IATF 16949 and automotive quality standards.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and process consistency.
- Prepare, review, and maintain quality documentation and records.
- Handle customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Prepare and review PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Inspection Standards.
- Conduct supplier quality assessments and coordinate supplier corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyse quality performance indicators, rejection rates, and customer complaints.
- Implement 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Coordinate with production, purchase, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure proper implementation of PPAP, APQP, MSA, and SPC requirements.
- Conduct product,



process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rejection, rework, and process deviations.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a relevant field.
- 3–4 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Practical knowledge of VDA 6.3 process audits.
- Good understanding of IATF 16949 quality management systems.
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and 8D methodology.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and automotive customer-specific requirements.
- Experience in handling customer and supplier audits.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in automotive rubber components, suspension parts, ride control components, or similar automotive products.
- Knowledge of rubber manufacturing processes, material inspection, dimensional inspection, and testing.
- Experience in handling OEM / Tier-1 customer quality requirements.
