- Ensure adherence to automotive industry standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Maintain and update quality documentation, control plans, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare and manage documentation for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) during recent component launches. [1, 2]

1. Supplier Quality Management (IQC - Incoming Quality Control)

- Inspect incoming raw materials, castings, forgings, or sub-assemblies from external vendors.
- Conduct supplier audits, track supplier performance KPIs, and manage vendor corrective actions when defective material is received.

1. In-Process & Shop Floor Quality Control (IPQC)

- Monitor production lines using Statistical Process Control (SPC) to track process capability metrics like (C_{p}) and (C_{p}k).
- Oversee stage-wise inspections (incoming, in-process, and finished goods) and manage "red bin" quarantine areas for non-conforming or rejected parts.




- Have the authority to stop production lines if critical quality or safety deviations occur.

1. Defect Prevention and Problem Solving

- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using structured tools such as 5-Why, Ishikawa (Fishbone) diagrams, 8D, and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action).
- Investigate customer complaints, internal scrap, and warranty returns to prevent recurrence.

1. Auditing and Continuous Improvement

- Conduct internal quality audits, Layered Process Audits (LPAs), and readiness checks for customer or third-party audits
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (Kaizen, waste reduction, and variation control).
