Required Experience 4 Years And Above In Steel Manufacturing/ Sheet Metal Industry Only

Key Responsibilities

- Raw Material & Metal Procurement:
- Procure core steel manufacturing inputs such as structural steel, HR/CR plates, bars, tubes, hollow sections, billets, angles, channels, and welding consumables based on Bill of Materials (BOM) and production schedules.
- Vendor Development & Management:
- Identify, audit, and onboard reliable mills, stockists, and subcontractors.
- Maintain a database of alternate vendors to mitigate supply chain risks and raw material shortages.
- Cost Negotiation & Market Analysis:
- Track daily and monthly market price trends for raw steel, scrap, or alloy inputs.
- Obtain comparative quotations, negotiate unit rates, credit terms, and freight charges to optimize procurement costs.
- Purchase Orders & ERP Management:
- Generate, verify,



and track Purchase Orders (POs) accurately within enterprise software (such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally).
- Maintain documentation including invoices, delivery challans, and inspection reports.
- Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Coordinate closely with Production, Planning & Control (PPC), Stores/Warehouse, and Quality Control (QC) to ensure timely material availability and handle material rejections or grade deviations.
