Job Summary

Responsible for managing day-to-day pulp mill operations during the assigned shift, ensuring smooth production, maintaining pulp quality, optimizing machine performance and achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage day-to-day pulp mill operations during the assigned shift.
- Monitor waste paper pulping, stock preparation, screening, cleaning and refining processes.
- Ensure consistent pulp quality and maintain the required consistency and freeness levels.
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure smooth functioning of pulpers, pumps, agitators, screens and refiners.
- Coordinate with the Paper Machine, Maintenance and Quality Control teams for uninterrupted production.
- Monitor raw material, chemical and water consumption and minimize process wastage.
- Ensure production targets, process parameters and quality standards are maintained.
- Identify operational issues, troubleshoot process-related problems and take corrective action.
- Maintain shift-wise production reports,



downtime reports and other operational records.
- Ensure proper manpower allocation, shift handover and adherence to safety procedures.
- Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / B.Tech in Pulp & Paper Technology, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant experience in Pulp Mill operations in the Paper Manufacturing Industry.
- Good knowledge of recycled paper pulping, stock preparation and pulp processing.
- Experience in handling shift operations, manpower and production activities.
- Solid troubleshooting, coordination and problem-solving skills.
