Job Title: IT Project Manager - Banking & Finance

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead technology initiatives within the Banking and Financial Services domain. The candidate will manage end-to-end project delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive successful implementation of banking technology solutions across digital, payments, lending, risk, and core banking platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

- Lead multiple IT projects from initiation through deployment and post-production support.
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation.
- Develop detailed project plans and track progress against milestones.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet business objectives.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, vendors, and development teams.
- Facilitate project governance meetings and executive status reporting.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Banking & Financial Domain Delivery

- Deliver technology solutions across:
- Core Banking
- Retail & Corporate Banking
- Digital Banking
- Payments & Cards
- Lending & Mortgage
- Treasury & Capital Markets
- AML/KYC & Regulatory Reporting




- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security policies, and audit requirements.

Risk & Compliance Management

- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements such as PCI-DSS, SOX, GDPR, AML, KYC, and local banking regulations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits related to project deliverables.

Agile & Delivery Management

- Manage Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery models.
- Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, release planning, and stakeholder demos.
- Monitor KPIs, project health, and delivery metrics.

Vendor & Resource Management

- Manage third-party vendors, implementation partners, and system integrators.
- Oversee contract deliverables and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Lead geographically distributed teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA is a plus.

Experience

- 8+ years of IT project management experience.
- 3+ years in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or Payments domain.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives.

Technical Knowledge

- Core Banking Platforms (Temenos, Finacle, Flexcube, Mambu, etc.)
- Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- APIs, Microservices, Integration Platforms
- Data Warehousing & Analytics
- Digital Channels & Mobile Banking
- Cybersecurity and Information Security Controls
