Role & responsibilities

- Ensure all activities are accomplished as per the project schedule; track progress and flag delays early.

- Ensure adherence to drawings, specifications and IS codes to achieve the desired quality of work.

- Carry out stage-wise inspections and witness material and field tests.

- Resolve site-related technical problems to ensure timely completion of tasks.

- Escalate issues that cannot be resolved at site and bring them to a logical closure.

- Implement the standard operating procedures applicable to each task, including site safety.

- Assist the QS team in taking measurements and verifying contractor bills.

- Provide alternatives to prevent quality issues and resolve them along with the PM.

- Coordinate with contractors, consultants and client; maintain DPRs, checklists and registers.

Preferred candidate profile

- Sound knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, drawings and IS codes.

- Quantity measurement and MS Office; AutoCAD / MS Project preferred.

- Problem-solving, explicit communication, ownership and attention to detail.
