SERAP India is recruiting an experienced Production Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across its manufacturing and plant maintenance functions.

The role covers two production verticals—Milk Cooling and Industrial Processing—as well as Plant Maintenance. As a member of the Company Steering Committee, you will contribute directly to operational excellence, organizational strategy and long-term growth.

ROLE PURPOSE

Ensure safe, efficient and high-quality manufacturing operations across both production verticals, supported by reliable equipment and effective maintenance.

Translate company strategy into executable operational plans, drive production and maintenance performance, and act as a key interface between the Managing Director and operational teams.

ORGANIZATIONAL SCOPE The Production Manager will directly manage:

- Production Manager – Milk Cooling Vertical
- Production Manager – Industrial Processing Vertical
- Plant Maintenance Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic and leadership responsibilities
- Actively contribute as a Steering Committee member to strategic planning, capital investment decisions and operational transformation initiatives.
- Translate company strategy into executable plans across production and maintenance.
- Build a leadership culture focused on accountability, collaboration, safety and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a key interface between the Managing Director and operational teams.

Production and operations management

- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations across the Milk Cooling and Industrial Processing verticals.
- Ensure production targets are met with optimal efficiency, cost control,



quality and on-time completion.
- Standardize manufacturing processes, KPIs and reporting across both production verticals.
- Drive Lean manufacturing, productivity improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Use SAP to support production planning, execution, monitoring and performance reporting.

Plant maintenance management

- Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance systems are robust and effective.
- Minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability and asset life.
- Align maintenance strategy and interventions with production requirements and safety objectives.

Quality, safety and compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
- Champion health, safety and environmental compliance across production and maintenance activities.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing, equipment and quality issues.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented and their effectiveness is verified.

People and performance management

- Develop, mentor and manage the performance of reporting managers.
- Drive succession planning and capability building within production and maintenance.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and effective communication.
- Establish clear objectives and regularly review performance and improvement actions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- Master’s degree or MBA in Engineering, Production Management, Operations Management or a related field.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in operations or manufacturing leadership.
- Experience in industrial equipment, dairy, food processing or heavy manufacturing is preferred.
- Proven experience managing multiple production verticals and cross-functional teams.
- Experience overseeing plant maintenance, equipment reliability and downtime reduction.
- Previous experience in a senior leadership role or as a member of a management or Steering Committee.
- Robust experience in structured manufacturing environments, Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and change management.
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience using SAP in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to analyse operational data, identify priorities and deliver measurable improvements.
