Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and result-oriented Production Engineer – Mechanical to join our manufacturing team at Electrotherm (India) Ltd. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules, maintaining quality standards, and optimizing manufacturing processes to achieve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities to ensure timely execution of production targets.
2. Supervise shop-floor operations and ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
3. Monitor manufacturing processes and ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and engineering specifications.
4. Coordinate with design, quality, planning, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth production operations.
5. Identify production bottlenecks, process deviations, and operational challenges, and implement corrective actions.
6. Ensure proper execution of fabrication, machining, assembly, and other mechanical manufacturing activities, as applicable.
7. Monitor material availability and coordinate with stores and planning teams to avoid production delays.

Maintain production records, daily reports, process documentation, and relevant operational data.
9. Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, 5S practices, and shop-floor discipline.
10. Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce rejection, and minimize manufacturing costs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 1–6 years of relevant experience in production or manufacturing operations.
- Experience in mechanical manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or industrial equipment production will be preferred.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and shop-floor operations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of production monitoring, quality standards, and process improvement techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP/SAP systems and MS Office will be an added advantage.
- Good coordination, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Industry Exposure Candidates with experience in heavy engineering, steel plant equipment, industrial machinery, fabrication, material handling equipment, or engineering manufacturing setups will be preferred.
