Position: Paint Shop Process Engineer

Location: Pune

Experience: 2–8 Years

Industry: Manufacturing / Automotive / Engineering

Qualification: Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Production or Paint Technology

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day paint shop operations and ensure smooth production processes.
- Handle paint shop processes such as pre-treatment, powder coating and liquid painting.
- Monitor and maintain process parameters, including temperature, pressure, viscosity and coating thickness.
- Ensure proper surface preparation, cleaning and chemical treatment before painting.
- Monitor paint quality, finish, adhesion and coating thickness.
- Identify and troubleshoot painting defects such as bubbles, scratches, orange peel,



peeling and uneven coating.
- Implement process improvements to reduce paint rejection, material wastage and production downtime.
- Coordinate with production, quality and maintenance teams for smooth operations.
- Ensure adherence to 5S, safety standards and quality procedures.
- Maintain process documentation, production reports and rejection records.
