Role : Principal Software Engineer (Full Stack, GenAI) | Pune | Hybrid | Product Company

About the role :

We are hiring a hands-on Principal Software Engineer for the Pune engineering team of a well-established B2B enterprise software product company. You will design and build cloud-native, full-stack product features and bring Generative AI and AI-agent capabilities into a large, business-critical platform used by global enterprise customers. This is a senior individual contributor role with real ownership of architecture, code quality and delivery.

What you will do :

- Own features end to end, from UI to APIs, services and data
- Design scalable microservices and cloud-native systems on AWS, Azure or GCP
- Build and ship GenAI features into production : LLM integration, AI agents, RAG pipelines, prompt design and tool calling
- Drive system design reviews and set standards for performance, security and reliability
- Write clean, tested, production-grade code and review code across the team
- Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar
- Work with product managers, architects and distributed teams across time zones

Must-have skills :

- 8 - 12 years of hands-on software development, with your recent experience in product companies or funded startups
- Front end : HTML, CSS,



JavaScript, TypeScript, with React or Angular
- Back end : Java with Spring Boot, or Node.js, or Python
- Microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems and event-driven design
- Cloud-native engineering : AWS, Azure or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes
- Hands-on Generative AI / Agentic AI : LLMs, AI agents, RAG, vector databases, prompt engineering
- Robust system design and data modelling skills, with SQL and NoSQL databases

Good to have :

- LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex or similar agent frameworks
- AWS Bedrock, OpenAI or Azure OpenAI in production
- Kafka or other messaging systems
- CI/CD, Terraform, observability and monitoring tools
- GraphQL
- Experience with enterprise SaaS, ERP or supply chain software
- Daily use of AI coding assistants

Work setup :

- Hybrid : 3 days a week from the Pune office
- Working hours : 9 AM to 6 PM IST
