Position Overview

Parul University invites applications for the position of Principal – Faculty of Physiotherapy. The University seeks an accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in physiotherapy education, clinical practice, research, academic administration, and institutional development to lead the Faculty of Physiotherapy towards excellence in rehabilitation sciences and healthcare education.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

- Provide strategic direction for physiotherapy programmes, curriculum development, and academic quality enhancement.
- Ensure academic programmes align with evolving healthcare needs and professional standards.
- Promote evidence-based teaching, practical training, and competency-based learning.
- Strengthen clinical laboratories, rehabilitation facilities, and practical training infrastructure.

Research & Innovation

- Promote research in musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, sports, and community-based physiotherapy.
- Encourage quality research publications, funded projects, and cooperative research.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary research in rehabilitation and allied healthcare sciences.
- Promote innovation in physiotherapy practices and rehabilitation technologies.

Faculty Development

- Lead faculty recruitment, mentoring, performance evaluation, and professional development.
- Encourage faculty participation in research, conferences, workshops, and FDPs.
- Strengthen clinical expertise and academic competencies among faculty members.

Student Development

- Promote clinical exposure, internships, practical training, and professional skill development.
- Encourage student participation in research projects, workshops, and healthcare outreach activities.
- Strengthen placement and career development initiatives.




- Ensure effective clinical supervision and competency development.

Clinical & Industry Collaborations

- Establish partnerships with hospitals, rehabilitation centres, sports organisations, and healthcare institutions.
- Facilitate clinical postings, internships, and collaborative research programmes.
- Promote industry-academia and healthcare professional interactions.

Accreditation & Quality Assurance

- Ensure compliance with applicable UGC, NAAC, NIRF, and relevant statutory and professional regulatory requirements.
- Lead accreditation, academic audits, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Monitor academic standards, clinical training, and institutional performance.

Administration & Governance

- Oversee academic planning, budgeting, clinical infrastructure, and administrative operations.
- Coordinate with University leadership and relevant regulatory authorities.
- Drive student enrolment, institutional growth, and academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria
- Ph.D. in Physiotherapy / relevant discipline, wherever applicable.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in Physiotherapy with an excellent academic record.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching, clinical practice, research, or academic administration in Physiotherapy.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in academic leadership / administrative roles such as Principal, Dean, Associate Dean, Director, Professor, Head of Department, or equivalent.
- Significant research contributions, publications, and academic achievements.
- Proven experience in clinical education, academic administration, and institutional development.
- Eligibility as per applicable UGC / relevant statutory and professional council norms.
