Position Overview

Parul University invites applications for the position of Principal – Faculty of Management. The University seeks an accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in management education, research, academic administration, industry engagement, and institutional development to lead the Faculty of Management towards excellence in business education and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

- Provide strategic direction for management programmes, curriculum development, and academic quality enhancement.
- Ensure curriculum relevance to emerging business trends, industry requirements, and skilled standards.
- Promote case-based learning, experiential education, and interdisciplinary teaching.
- Strengthen academic delivery across management specialisations.

Research & Innovation

- Promote high-quality research publications, funded projects, books, consultancy, and case studies.
- Encourage research in areas such as Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Operations, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship, and Strategy.
- Facilitate national and international research collaborations.
- Promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and management research.

Faculty Development

- Lead faculty recruitment, mentoring, performance evaluation, and professional development.
- Encourage faculty participation in conferences, FDPs, research projects, and industry interactions.
- Foster a culture of research excellence and continuous learning.

Student Development

- Promote internships, live projects, industry exposure, and management development activities.
- Strengthen placement initiatives and corporate engagement.
- Encourage entrepreneurship, leadership development, and professional competencies.




- Promote student participation in competitions, business simulations, and research activities.

Industry & Corporate Relations

- Establish partnerships with corporates, business organisations, financial institutions, and professional bodies.
- Facilitate guest lectures, corporate training, consultancy, and collaborative projects.
- Strengthen industry-academia interactions and placement opportunities.

Accreditation & Quality Assurance

- Ensure compliance with applicable UGC, NAAC, NIRF, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Lead accreditation, ranking, academic audits, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Monitor academic standards and institutional performance.

Administration & Governance

- Oversee academic planning, budgeting, resource management, and administrative operations.
- Coordinate with University leadership and relevant authorities.
- Drive student enrolment, institutional growth, and academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria
- Ph.D. in Management / relevant discipline from a recognised University.
- MBA / relevant postgraduate qualification with an excellent academic record.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching, research, industry, or academic administration in management or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in academic leadership / administrative roles such as Principal, Dean, Associate Dean, Director, Professor, Head of Department, or equivalent.
- Significant research contributions, publications, funded projects, consultancy, and academic achievements.
- Proven experience in academic administration, accreditation, and institutional development.
- Eligibility as per applicable UGC / statutory norms.
