Position: Plant Head

Department: Production / Plant Operations

Job Location: Kalher, Bhiwandi – Thane, Maharashtra

SALARY & COMPENSATION

NO SALARY BAR FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE! Compensation will be offered based on the candidate's technical knowledge, practical experience, leadership capabilities, managerial skills and overall suitability for the position.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and result-oriented Plant Head to lead and manage the complete manufacturing operations at our production facility. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing operations, production management, manpower handling, process improvement and overall plant administration.

Candidates with experience as Plant Head, Factory Manager, Production Head or Operations Head in any manufacturing industry are welcome to apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plant & Production Management

- Oversee complete plant operations and manufacturing activities.
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly and monthly production targets.
- Manage production planning, execution and delivery schedules.
- Ensure smooth functioning of all production departments.

2. Team & Manpower Management

- Lead and manage production, quality, maintenance, stores and dispatch teams.
- Optimize manpower utilization and workforce productivity.
- Establish departmental responsibilities and accountability.
- Monitor departmental performance and ensure effective coordination.

3. Production Planning & Efficiency

- Monitor production capacity, output and operational efficiency.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
- Improve workflow, productivity and resource utilization.
- Ensure timely execution of production plans.

4. Quality & Process Improvement

- Maintain quality standards throughout manufacturing operations.
- Implement process improvements to minimize rejection and wastage.
- Establish effective production systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Cost Control & Operational Excellence

- Monitor manufacturing costs and control operational expenses.
- Reduce material wastage, idle time and production losses.
- Improve overall plant efficiency and profitability.




- Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, materials and manpower.

6. Coordination & Reporting

- Coordinate with management, merchandising, purchase, stores and other departments.
- Review production and operational performance regularly.
- Prepare and present plant performance reports to management.
- Take responsibility for overall plant performance and operational discipline.

7. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure workplace safety and discipline across the factory.
- Maintain compliance with applicable statutory and operational requirements.
- Ensure effective implementation of company policies and procedures.

CANDIDATE PROFILE & EXPERIENCE

* Candidates with relevant experience in manufacturing industries are welcome to apply.

- Previous experience as Plant Head, Factory Manager, Production Head, Operations Head or an equivalent senior managerial position is preferred.
- Experience in independently managing complete factory or plant operations will be an advantage.
- Candidates from footwear, leather goods, apparel, garments, automotive, engineering, FMCG, plastics or other manufacturing industries can apply.
- Strong understanding of production planning, manufacturing processes, quality management and operational efficiency.
- Proven ability to manage large teams and multiple departments.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently manage plant operations and achieve business objectives.

Industry Preference: Candidates from footwear and leather goods manufacturing industries will be preferred. However, experienced professionals from other manufacturing industries with strong operational and managerial capabilities are equally welcome to apply.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

* Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.

- Candidates with educational backgrounds in Footwear Technology, Footwear Manufacturing, Leather Technology,



Leather Goods Manufacturing or related disciplines will have an added advantage.
- Relevant technical qualifications combined with robust practical manufacturing and plant management experience will be highly valued.
- Candidates from other educational backgrounds with proven manufacturing and plant management experience are also welcome to apply.
