PRODUCTION PLANNING CUM DESIGN ENGINEER – PEB / HEAVY STEEL FABRICATION

1. Educational and Technical Qualifications

· Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.

· Civil / Structural Engineering candidates with relevant PEB detailing experience may also apply.

· Minimum 4 years of experience in PEB or structural steel fabrication.

· Strong knowledge of built-up H-beams, tapered sections, columns, rafters, bracings, purlins and structural connections.

· Good understanding of fabrication drawings, structural drawings, BOM and material take-off.

2. Mandatory Software Skills

· AutoCAD 2D – Excellent knowledge of fabrication and shop drawings.

· Tekla Structures – 3D modelling, structural detailing, assembly drawings and BOM generation.

· MS Excel Advanced – Production planning, material calculation and MIS reporting.

· MS Project – Project scheduling and milestone monitoring.

3. Additional Software Skills

· Sigma NEST / Lantek – CNC cutting and nesting optimization.

· STAAD. Pro – Structural analysis and design coordination.

· MBS – Metal Building Software for PEB engineering.

· Autodesk Advance Steel – Structural steel detailing.

· Tekla Power Fab – Fabrication management.

4. Design and Detailing Responsibilities

· Study and interpret customer GA and structural drawings.

· Prepare 2D and 3D fabrication drawings.

· Develop built-up beam, column, rafter and connection details.

· Prepare single-part and assembly drawings.

· Generate BOM, cutting lists and material take-off.





· Verify dimensions, plate thickness, hole locations and fabrication tolerances.

· Prepare CNC cutting data and nesting layouts.

· Maintain drawing registers and revision control.

· Coordinate drawing approvals and technical clarifications with customers.

5. Production Planning Responsibilities

· Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans.

· Prepare project-wise production schedules and milestone charts.

· Calculate production capacity and manpower requirements.

· Coordinate raw material availability with Purchase and Stores.

· Plan cutting, drilling, fit-up, welding, straightening, blasting and painting activities.

· Monitor planned versus actual production in MT.

· Monitor WIP and identify production bottlenecks.

· Coordinate with Production, QC, Maintenance and Dispatch teams.

· Ensure timely completion of project milestones and dispatch commitments.

6. Candidate Expectations The candidate must be capable of independently handling PEB fabrication drawings, Tekla detailing, BOM preparation, material planning, nesting coordination and production scheduling.

Practical shop-floor fabrication knowledge is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in end-to-end PEB project execution, from drawing release to final dispatch.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
