Role Description The Physical Design Engineer will work on full-chip and block-level implementation, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and optimization for power, performance, and area. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with RTL and logic design teams, performing physical verification and timing closure, and resolving DRC, LVS, and congestion issues. The engineer will analyze and fix STA violations, support design-for-test requirements,



and participate in design reviews to ensure quality and manufacturability.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams and active participation throughout the silicon development lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust skills in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and optimization.
- Candidates should possess relevant Physical Verification skills, such as DRC, LVS, and sign-off checks.
- Candidates should possess Logic Design and RTL Design skills, including understanding of digital design concepts and RTL-to-GDSII flow.
- Candidates should possess Circuit Design knowledge, including timing, power, and signal integrity fundamentals.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens) and STA tools for timing closure.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to debug complex design and timing issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in advanced process nodes and large-scale SoC or ASIC designs is beneficial.
