Responsibilities

- Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating room for procedures, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterilized and ready for use.

- Support surgeons and nurses during operations by providing necessary instruments and materials promptly.

- Maintain a sterile workplace within the operating room to prevent infections and complications.

- Monitor and manage the availability of surgical supplies and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.

- Assist in the setup and calibration of surgical equipment and machinery.

- Collaborate with the ICU team to provide emergency support when necessary.

- Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and equipment usage.

- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the operating theatre.

- Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of the operating room post-surgery.
