Prepare the operation theatre before scheduled surgeries.

Ensure the availability of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies.

Assist doctors and surgeons during surgical procedures.

Prepare and arrange surgical instruments as per procedure requirements.

Maintain proper sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.

Ensure cleanliness and hygiene inside the operation theatre.

Check the functioning of OT equipment before procedures.

Assist in positioning patients on the operating table.

Maintain aseptic techniques and follow infection control protocols.

Handle and maintain OT instruments and equipment properly.

Assist in shifting patients to and from the operation theatre.

Monitor and maintain OT stock and consumables.

Ensure proper biomedical waste segregation and disposal.

Maintain OT records, registers and checklists.





Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthetists and nursing staff.

Assist in maintaining patient safety during surgical procedures.

Report equipment failures or shortages to the department in-charge.

Ensure proper cleaning and preparation of OT after every surgery.

Follow hospital policies and NABH standards.

Perform other duties assigned by the department in-charge.

Qualification

Diploma / B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT).

Basic knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization and infection control.

Experience

1–2 years of experience preferred.
