Role Description The Operations Manager role at Wheeley is a full-time, hybrid position based in New Delhi, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across manpower services, warehousing, transportation, and last-mile and first-mile logistics. Typical responsibilities include planning and coordinating logistics workflows, aligning resources and staffing, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

The Operations

Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage vendor and client relationships, ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations, and support the resolution of operational issues. The role also involves reporting on operational outcomes, managing budgets and cost controls,



and contributing to strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement and scalability.

Qualifications

- Operations and logistics management skills, including experience in warehousing, transportation, and last-mile/first-mile delivery environments.
- Strong people management abilities, such as team leadership, workforce planning, and performance management for diverse operational staff.
- Process improvement and analytical skills, including experience with KPIs, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Client and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience in B2B and/or B2C service delivery and vendor coordination.
- Sound business acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and resource optimization in operational settings.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams and report clearly to leadership.
- Comfort with using digital tools and operations software (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS, spreadsheets, dashboards) for planning and monitoring activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain are an advantage.
- Proven experience in an operations or logistics leadership role, preferably within manpower services, warehousing, or delivery-focused organizations.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup from Current Delhi, manage time effectively, and adapt to fast-changing operational requirements.
