Role Description The Nursing Officer will provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care, including monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and infection control standards. The role involves supporting patient and family education, promoting safety and comfort, and participating in emergency and critical care as needed.

Officer will also help manage ward activities, oversee basic nursing staff tasks, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Heritage Hospital in Varanasi.

Qualifications

- Recognized nursing qualification (GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or equivalent) and valid registration with appropriate nursing council.
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, documentation, and basic emergency care.
- Knowledge of hospital protocols, infection prevention and control practices, and safe handling of biomedical materials.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in rotating shifts, manage multiple patients, and remain calm in high-pressure clinical situations.
- Basic computer literacy for using hospital information systems and electronic medical records.
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred; experience in biotechnology or advanced medical technologies is an advantage.
