We are looking for a hands-on MarTech Technical Engineer/Developer with solid expertise in Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4), combined with solid web development experience.

4–8 years of overall experience, with strong hands-on experience in web development and digital analytics implementation

This is not a GA4 reporting or GTM configuration-only role. The candidate should be comfortable working at the application-code level, including JavaScript development, dataLayer implementation, DOM/event handling, API integrations, browser/network debugging, CORS troubleshooting, consent management, and complex analytics implementations.

The candidate will work closely with development, eCommerce, marketing, analytics, QA, consent/privacy, and other MarTech teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, implement, and maintain GTM and GA4 tracking solutions across websites and digital platforms.
- Design and develop scalable dataLayer implementations using JavaScript.
- Implement GA4 events, parameters, custom dimensions/metrics, user properties, key events/conversions, and eCommerce tracking.
- Develop custom GTM tags, triggers, variables, and JavaScript solutions where standard configurations are insufficient.
- Implement end-to-end eCommerce tracking, including:
- Product impressions/views
- Product selection
- Add/remove from cart
- Checkout journey
- Purchases/transactions
- Promotions and campaign interactions
- Work with DOM elements and browser events to capture energetic user interactions.
- Implement tracking for Single Page Applications (SPA) and dynamically rendered content.
- Translate business and marketing measurement requirements into technical tracking specifications and implementation designs.




- Work directly with front-end/eCommerce development teams to integrate tracking requirements into application code.
- Diagnose and resolve JavaScript, DOM, API, CORS, network, dataLayer, and tag-firing issues.
- Troubleshoot using browser Developer Tools, including Console, Network, Elements, Application/Storage, and debugging capabilities.
- Implement and troubleshoot GA4 Measurement Protocol/API-based integrations where required. GA4 Measurement Protocol supports sending events to Analytics through HTTP requests and complements standard tagging approaches.
- Implement cross-domain tracking and support complex multi-domain customer journeys.
- Work with Consent Management Platforms (CMP) and implement consent-aware tracking.
- Support integrations between GTM/GA4 and other advertising, personalization, eCommerce, and MarTech platforms.
- Perform implementation QA and ensure tracking accuracy across development, test, acceptance, and production environments.
- Create and maintain tracking specifications, dataLayer documentation, naming standards, and technical documentation.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- Understanding of Single Page Application architecture

- REST APIs and HTTP/HTTPS requests
- Ability to inspect and troubleshoot API requests/responses
- Cookies, local storage, and session storage




- Ability to understand and troubleshoot existing front-end application code

CORS & Browser Troubleshooting Candidate should have good technical understanding and troubleshooting experience related to:

- CORS (Cross-Origin Resource Sharing) errors
- Cross-origin HTTP requests
- Same-Origin Policy
- HTTP request/response headers
- Browser security restrictions
- Blocked network requests
- API failures
- JavaScript runtime errors
- Cookie-related issues
- Tag firing and data collection issues
- Browser Console and Network-level debugging

Google Tag Manager – GTM

- Strong hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager
- Tags, triggers, and variables
- Custom events
- Custom JavaScript variables
- Custom HTML/JavaScript-based integrations
- Advanced dataLayer design and implementation
- GTM Preview/Debug
- Cross-domain tracking
- Dynamic event tracking
- Understanding of client-side tagging
- Preferably experience with server-side GTM/tagging

Google Analytics 4 – GA4

- Strong hands-on GA4 implementation experience
