Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager – Software Development with 14+ years of software engineering experience to lead and scale high-performing software teams delivering enterprise-grade scientific and workflow-driven applications. The role combines strong technical leadership with hands-on involvement in software architecture, backend development, API design, microservices, and Agile delivery. The candidate will be responsible for driving end-to-end product development, mentoring engineering teams, collaborating with global stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.

Essential Skills:

- 14+ years of software engineering experience,



including 5+ years in engineering leadership, team management, and mentoring.
- Strong expertise in Python development, FastAPI, Uvicorn, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience in microservices architecture, distributed systems, service integration, and scalable backend solutions.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience in Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture and API-driven application development.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases, data modeling, performance optimization, and database design.
- Experience implementing OAuth2, JWT, SSO, OpenID Connect, and API security best practices.
- Expertise in API versioning, caching, rate limiting, authentication, and secure application development.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across backend services, APIs, databases, production environments, and deployments.
- Experience with logging, monitoring, observability, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
- Solid knowledge of software testing strategies including unit, integration, API, and regression testing.
- Experience leading Agile software development, sprint planning, delivery management, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, technical leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
