Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead component development and sourcing activities from China for the automotive industry. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing suppliers, managing commercial negotiations, ensuring quality standards and coordinating end-to-end component development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers in China for automotive components.
- Manage supplier selection, RFQs, cost negotiations and commercial agreements.
- Coordinate component development, tooling, sampling, validation and industrialisation.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams.
- Ensure supplier quality, timely delivery and cost competitiveness.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
- Manage international logistics, import requirements and supply chain risks.
- Conduct supplier visits, audits and business meetings in China.

Required Skills & Experience:





- 8–12 years of experience in automotive sourcing, procurement or component development.
- Experience in sourcing and developing suppliers in China is essential.
- Knowledge of automotive components, manufacturing processes and tooling.
- Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and supplier quality systems.
- Robust skills in commercial negotiations, cost analysis and supplier management.
- Understanding of international logistics, imports and Incoterms.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of Mandarin will be an added advantage.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Production or a related engineering discipline. Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to China.

Pay: ₹296,000.00 - ₹1,190,000.00 per year
