1. Job Purpose To manage and coordinate day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, vehicle planning, dispatch, delivery tracking, documentation and coordination with customers, transporters and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Transportation & Vehicle Management

- Arrange vehicles for daily dispatch requirements.
- Coordinate with transporters and fleet operators.
- Negotiate transportation rates and monitor freight costs.
- Ensure vehicle availability as per dispatch plans.
- Monitor vehicle movement and delivery status.

B. Dispatch & Delivery Management
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, sales and customer service teams.
- Prepare daily dispatch plans based on customer requirements.
- Ensure timely loading and dispatch of materials.
- Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery.
- Handle delivery delays, shortages and transportation issues.

C. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and verify delivery challans, invoices and e-way bills.
- Ensure proper transportation and dispatch documentation.
- Maintain LR/GR copies and proof of delivery (POD).
- Maintain vehicle, transporter and shipment records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable transport regulations.

E. Coordination & Communication




- Coordinate with customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Follow up with transporters for timely vehicle placement.
- Resolve customer delivery-related complaints.
- Maintain good working relationships with vendors and transporters.

3. Educational Qualification

- Any Graduate (B.Com / BBA / B.Sc preferred).
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

4. Required Skills

- Knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple dispatch activities.
- ERP / SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.

5. Experience in Steel / Manufacturing Industry (Preferred)

- Experience in handling steel materials such as coils, sheets, plates, bars and other steel products.
- Knowledge of truck loading capacity and vehicle selection.
- Experience in coordinating bulk material transportation.
- Knowledge of weighbridge operations and weight reconciliation.
- Understanding of material handling and safe transportation practices.

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
