We are looking for a legally trained professional with strong editorial expertise who can evaluate both the legal substance and editorial quality of manuscripts and take ownership of content through the publication process.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and edit legal manuscripts for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and legal substance.
- Conduct legal research and validate case law, statutes, regulations, and legal references.
- Perform substantive/developmental editing, beyond basic copyediting and proofreading.
- Assess manuscripts for legal accuracy, structure, argumentation, and overall editorial quality.
- Work independently on complex legal content and coordinate effectively with authors and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to appropriate legal citation and editorial standards. • Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail while meeting publishing timelines.

Candidate Profile

- LL.B. or equivalent legal qualification is mandatory.
- Experience in legal editing,



legal publishing, legal research, or legal-content roles.
- Robust understanding of case law, statutes, regulations, and legal research methodologies.
- Proven experience in substantive/developmental editing.
- Excellent written communication and analytical skills.
- Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage complex manuscripts independently and work effectively under deadlines.
