Own technical design and architecture; mentor developers and conduct code reviews

Partner with the Product Owner and Development Manager on planning, prioritization, and delivery

Lead complex initiatives and production support; serve as the technical escalation point

Drive engineering best practices and adoption of AI-assisted development

Technical Skills:

- Java (JDK 17/21), Spring Boot, and JDBC
- SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and query tuning
- Distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture
- REST APIs and GraphQL, including security and performance tuning
- Distributed caching (Hazelcast) and asynchronous messaging using JMS, MQ, or Kafka
- Source control and build tooling: GitLab, Maven/Gradle
- Testing and automated quality checks: JUnit 5, Mockito, Spring Boot Test
- CI/CD: Jenkins
- Security and code governance: Sonatype (dependency and artifact governance), SonarQube (code quality and security analysis), Tenable.io (infrastructure vulnerability scanning and remediation)
- Full development lifecycle and L3 production support, including monitoring, recovery, root cause analysis, runbooks, and upgrades
- AI-assisted coding, refactoring, testing, documentation,



and debugging, including prompt engineering, context management, and token optimization
- Cloud and container experience is a plus

Preferred Skills:

- Python development with FastAPI or Django, REST APIs, and automated testing using pytest
- Front-end development with React or Angular, plus HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to support or extend internal user interfaces

Equities IT / Capital Markets Experience

- Equities IT or capital markets development experience preferred
- Knowledge of the trade lifecycle and operational controls is a plus
