Role Description The Laboratory Technologist role at Suraksha Diagnostics is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Kolkata Area.

The Laboratory

Technologist will perform routine and specialized diagnostic tests in pathology and related disciplines, ensuring accurate processing, analysis, and reporting of patient samples. Daily responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, following standardized protocols, performing quality control checks, and documenting results in laboratory information systems. The role involves collaborating with laboratory doctors, radiologists, and technical staff,



adhering to safety and infection-control guidelines, and supporting continuous improvement of laboratory processes.

The Laboratory

Technologist will also assist in troubleshooting test anomalies, managing reagent and consumable inventory, and complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Medical Technology, including familiarity with diagnostic procedures and laboratory methodologies.
- Demonstrated Laboratory Skills in specimen collection, handling, processing, and test execution.
- Hands-on experience with Laboratory Equipment used in pathology and radiology-support functions, including operation, calibration, and basic maintenance.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret test results, identify discrepancies, and contribute to accurate clinical reporting.
- Experience with Quality Control processes, proficiency in documenting QC activities, and commitment to maintaining laboratory accuracy and reliability.
- Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety standards, infection-control practices, and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume diagnostic environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Prior experience in a diagnostics, hospital, or healthcare laboratory setting is preferred.
