Role & responsibilities

- Complete knowledge of Lighting Product Range, including Consumer, Skilled, Indoor, Outdoor, and decorative Lighting products.
- Perform electrical, photometric, thermal, and mechanical testing of lighting products as per test plans and standards.
- Prepare test samples, fixtures, and wiring setups for evaluation.
- Record and maintain accurate test data and reports.
- Assist engineers in product validation, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
- Operate laboratory instruments such as:

1. Integrating Sphere

2. Spectroradiometer

3. Power Analyzer
4. Hi-Pot Tester

5. Surge Tester

6. Environmental Chamber

7. Lux Meter

- Ensure calibration records and maintenance logs of laboratory equipment are updated.
- Support reliability testing including life testing, temperature rise, humidity, and endurance tests.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the laboratory.
- Coordinate with stores and procurement for test samples and laboratory consumables.
- Assist in preparing compliance documents for BIS, CE,



IEC, and other product certifications.

- Follow EHS and laboratory safety guidelines.
- Prototype development, evaluation, testing, and reporting.
- Knowledge of DFM, DFA, DFMEA, PFMEA, and Value Engineering concepts.
- Root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for design and field-related issues.

- Coordination with Quality, Procurement and Suppliers to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Drive cost optimization and continuous product improvement initiatives while maintaining quality and reliability targets.

- Effective interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
- Good project coordination and execution skills with a focus on meeting timelines and deliverables.
