The Consultant Radiologist is responsible for interpreting diagnostic imaging studies, providing accurate and timely reports, performing image-guided procedures where applicable, and supporting clinicians in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities

1. Interpret and report diagnostic imaging studies, including:

- X-rays
- Ultrasound and Doppler studies
- CT scans
- MRI scans
- Mammography (if applicable)

1. Perform ultrasound-guided and CT-guided interventional procedures as per qualifications.
2. Ensure accurate, comprehensive, and timely reporting of investigations.
3. Correlate imaging findings with clinical history and laboratory results.
4. Communicate critical and urgent findings promptly to referring clinicians.
5. Maintain high standards of patient safety, radiation protection, and imaging quality.
6. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and applicable regulatory guidelines.

Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical discussions.
8. Supervise and guide radiology technicians and junior radiology staff.
9. Maintain proper documentation, patient confidentiality, and medical records.

Qualifications
- MD / DNB / DMRD in Radiodiagnosis.
- Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council.
- Relevant experience in diagnostic radiology.
- Fellowship or subspecialty training preferred for specialized roles.

Required Skills
- Solid diagnostic and analytical skills.
- Expertise in cross-sectional imaging and image interpretation.
- Good clinical communication and decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of PACS, RIS, and HIS systems.
