Role Overview The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will play a critical leadership role in defining and executing the organizations end-to-end technology strategy. The position requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, ensuring that all technology initiatives directly support business growth and operational efficiency.

The CTO will be responsible for building a robust, secure, and future-ready technology infrastructure, capable of supporting large-scale expansion (1000+ franchise outlets) while maintaining performance, reliability, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Strategy & Vision

- Develop and implement a comprehensive technology roadmap aligned with the companys long-term business strategy
- Identify emerging technologies and assess their relevance to improve operational efficiency and customer experience
- Design scalable architecture to support rapid expansion across multiple locations
- Ensure alignment between business goals and technology initiatives

2. Platform & Product Development

- Lead the end-to-end development of key business systems, including:
- Point of Sale (POS) systems

- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Inventory and supply chain platforms
- E-commerce platforms and mobile applications
- Ensure all platforms are highly scalable, reliable, and user-friendly
- Implement modern architecture practices such as microservices and modular design




- Drive continuous product improvement based on user feedback and business requirements

3. Software Ecosystem Management (Critical Responsibility)

- Oversee and manage the complete technology ecosystem, including internal systems and third-party applications
- Evaluate, select, and onboard technology vendors based on business needs and scalability
- Ensure seamless integration between multiple systems using APIs and middleware
- Monitor system performance, user adoption, and return on investment (ROI)
- Continuously optimize software usage to improve efficiency and reduce redundancy

4. Data, Analytics & AI Enablement

- Establish a strong data infrastructure to support real-time decision-making
- Develop dashboards and reporting systems for:

- Sales performance

- Inventory management

- Franchise performance tracking
- Leverage advanced analytics and AI tools for:

- Demand forecasting

- Pricing optimization

- Customer behavior analysis
- Promote a data-driven culture across departments

5. Infrastructure & IT Operations

- Design and manage cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Oversee servers, networks, and system integrations to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure high system uptime, performance monitoring, and proactive issue resolution
- Implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Drive adoption of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for faster and reliable deployments

6. Cybersecurity & Regulatory Compliance

- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and frameworks to protect business and customer data
- Ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and industry regulations
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments
- Build awareness and best practices for data security across the organization

7. Budgeting, Cost Optimization & Planning

- Prepare and manage the annual technology budget
- Optimize technology investments to balance cost efficiency and performance




- Evaluate cost-benefit of technology solutions before implementation
- Forecast future infrastructure and technology needs based on growth projections

8. Leadership, Team Building & Collaboration

- Build and lead high-performing teams across engineering, product development, and IT operations
- Define clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations
- Mentor team members and promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning
- Collaborate closely with departments such as operations, supply chain, sales, and finance
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership in driving business growth through technology

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience in microservices architecture, APIs, and distributed systems
- Proficiency in technologies such as React, Node.js, Python, and Java
- Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
- Familiarity with ERP systems, retail technology, and supply chain solutions
- Understanding of data analytics and AI/ML tools (preferred)

Experience & Qualifications

- 1018 years of overall experience in technology roles
- Minimum 5+ years in senior leadership positions (CTO/VP/Head of Technology)
- Proven track record of building and scaling technology platforms in fast-growing environments
- Experience in health-tech, retail, e-commerce, or franchise-based models will be an advantage
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (B.Tech/M.Tech); MBA preferred
