We are looking for an intermediate architectural professional with established project experience who wants to deepen their technical, digital and construction knowledge, develop greater confidence, and take increasing ownership of how complex projects get built—digitally, physically, legally and financially.
Teeple Architects is a design-forward and collaborative practice. We pride ourselves on engaging with design ideas at all levels of seniority. Having strong design opinions, the courage to share them, and the maturity to negotiate them as a creative professional is an asset. The role requires engaging with many design choices, from the creatively foundational to the mundane, in support of the goal of design excellence.
The role includes significant technical mentorship and day-to-day knowledge sharing across the team, alongside substantial engagement with design development, construction-document production, consultant coordination, tender documentation and construction administration.

- Take responsibility for defined areas or scopes of work from design development through tender and construction
- Contribute actively to aesthetic, technical and project-delivery decisions
- Coordinate architectural work with multidisciplinary consultants, identifying conflicts and driving issues through to closure
- Participate in tendering and construction administration,
including addenda, RFIs, SIs and construction-phase revisions
- Contribute to organized BIM, document-control and project-information systems
- Support junior staff through shared knowledge, technical discussion and review where appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Master of Architecture (M.Arch)
- 4–8 years of professional architectural experience
- Analytical and systems-oriented thinking
- Comfortable asking questions, challenging assumptions and receiving technical feedback
- Willingness to investigate issues and engage deeply in problem solving
- Desire to take increasing ownership of aesthetic, technical and project-delivery decisions
Digital / Technical Profile Robust Candidates May Have Experience Or Interest In
- Revit / BIM
- Architectural graphic standards
- Building science and construction products
- Emerging digital tools, scripting, coding or automation (Python, Dynamo, BIM 2.0)
- Exceptional BIM skills are not required. Technical curiosity and ambition are essential.
Professional Development
Required This role is intended for someone who already has meaningful architectural experience and wants to deepen the technical and professional skills required to take greater ownership of project delivery as their career develops. The successful candidate will be engaged in ongoing growth regarding:
- How design intent is developed and expressed in coordinated drawings, details and specifications
- How building assemblies are developed from first principles and informed by building science, code and construction
- How to lead consultant coordination and drive issues to resolution
- How tendering and construction administration connect design decisions to scope, cost and built outcomes
- How BIM tools function as the foundational interface between the designer and the built workplace in contemporary professional practice
- Personal design expression in a collaborative environment
What Success Looks Like Over time, the successful candidate should become someone who can:
- Recognize aesthetic and technical decisions that need to be made, contribute informed choices, and translate those decisions into accurate, durable documentation
- Understand unfamiliar materials, assemblies and construction conditions well enough to investigate, detail and coordinate them
- Use BIM and digital tools confidently without ceding creative agency or flexibility in how problems are solved
- Support less experienced staff while continuing to learn themselves
- Have confidence in delivering coordinated project work to a high professional standard
- Take pride in the artistry of great design, made possible by the craftsmanship of great documentation
