- Prepare the master schedule for every current award from drawings, BOQ and contract milestones
- Set realistic task durations with a project time buffer; update the buffer status (green / yellow / red) weekly
Short-term planning
- Issue rolling 3-day work plans to site supervisors
- Before any activity starts, check the full-kit list: drawings, material, labour, tools, approvals, access
- Calculate labour teams needed and material for the next 10 days
Daily control
- Run a 10-minute daily stand-up call with each site
- Track planned vs actual progress; flag delays and recovery actions
- Record hindrances and variations in writing for QS and client correspondence
Reporting
- Weekly progress report per project for management
- Look-ahead plan for purchase and labour requirements
Candidate criteria
- Reads drawings and BOQs; understands interior fit-out sequencing (civil, gypsum, MEP, joinery, finishes)
- MS Project or Primavera, and strong Excel
- Site experience — has followed a plan on site, not only made one
- Willing to travel to sites 1–2 days a week
