Inside Sales Technical Engineer – Electronics

About the role

EIS is hiring an Inside Sales Technical Engineer for our Trivandrum back office, supporting our UAE and Qatar operations. You will handle electronics, IT and ELV supply and trading enquiries from start to finish: floating enquiries to vendors, evaluating offers, submitting bids and converting awards into POs.

Product scope

IT hardware, networking and Wi-Fi equipment, AV equipment (displays, video walls, VC and audio), CCTV, access control and intercom, two-way radios and telecom equipment, test and measurement instruments, electronic spares.

Responsibilities

- Register RFQs/RFTs from client portals (ADNOC Ariba, Abu Dhabi Government e-procurement) and email
- Study scope, BOQ, specifications and datasheets
- Float enquiries to OEMs and vendors within 24 hours and follow up for quotes
- Compare vendor offers (compliance, make/origin, lead time, price) and recommend a supplier
- Prepare and submit compliant bids on time
- Handle client clarifications and follow-ups
- Negotiate, close POs and hand over to the Expediting team
- Keep the bid tracker and vendor database updated

Requirements





- B.Tech / Diploma in Electronics & Communication or Electronics Engineering
- 1–3 years in inside sales, estimation or tendering for electronics, IT or ELV products
- Able to read datasheets: model numbers, interfaces, protocols, power ratings, certifications (CE, UL, Ex)
- Strong MS Excel; good Word/PDF skills
- Clear written English and disciplined follow-up

Preferred

- GCC or ADNOC / government tender exposure; SAP Ariba experience
- Knowledge of brands such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Cisco, LG, Samsung, Hikvision, Axis, Motorola, Logitech
- Understanding of OEM authorisation letters, warranty terms and Incoterms

Work details: In office at our Thiruvananthapuram office. Working hours follow UAE business time (GST, UTC+4), Monday to Friday, with some flexibility near bid deadlines.
