ABOUT INFINITE SHOES

Established in 2011, Infinite Shoes is a Mumbai-based footwear manufacturing company specializing in women's footwear, particularly sandals made using PU and synthetic leather.

We specialize in OEM manufacturing for the Indian domestic market. With our expanding manufacturing operations and new production facility at Kalher, Bhiwandi, we are committed to improving production efficiency, manufacturing capabilities, quality and operational excellence.

We are looking for a skilled and result-oriented Industrial Engineer (IE) who can independently manage Industrial Engineering activities and drive productivity improvements across our manufacturing operations.

ROLE OBJECTIVE The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving production efficiency, balancing assembly lines, conducting time and motion studies, calculating SMV, optimizing manpower utilization and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

The candidate must have practical manufacturing knowledge and the ability to identify production challenges and implement effective solutions directly on the factory floor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Industrial Engineering & Line Balancing

- Study production lines and perform effective line balancing.
- Optimize manpower allocation across different operations.
- Identify bottlenecks and improve production workflow.
- Monitor line efficiency and implement corrective actions.

2. Time & Motion Study

- Conduct time and motion studies for various manufacturing operations.
- Calculate and establish Standard Minute Value (SMV).
- Identify unnecessary movements, delays and non-value-added activities.
- Develop standardized methods to improve production time.

3. Production Planning & Capacity Analysis

- Analyze production capacity and manpower requirements.
- Support production planning and daily target achievement.
- Optimize workloads across production lines.
- Coordinate with production teams to improve output.

4. Productivity & Process Improvement





- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen practices.
- Reduce idle time, downtime, material movement and production delays.
- Improve overall factory productivity and operational efficiency.

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

- Monitor daily production output and line-wise efficiency.
- Calculate operator productivity and production efficiency.
- Compare actual production against planned targets.
- Prepare IE reports, productivity dashboards and performance analysis.

6. Manpower & Cost Optimization

- Improve manpower utilization and workforce deployment.
- Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs.
- Minimize material wastage and unnecessary activities.
- Improve resource utilization without compromising quality.

7. SOP & Team Development

- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Standardize manufacturing processes and working methods.
- Guide and train supervisors and line leaders on productivity improvement.
- Coordinate with production, quality and management teams.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 2–5 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer (IE) in a manufacturing company.
- Candidates currently working or previously employed as an Industrial Engineer in any manufacturing industry are welcome to apply.
- Practical experience in line balancing, time and motion studies, SMV calculation and productivity improvement.
- Experience in manpower optimization, production efficiency and process improvement.
- Candidates from footwear, leather goods, apparel, garments, automotive, engineering or other assembly-line manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Candidates from other manufacturing industries with strong Industrial Engineering knowledge and practical exposure can also apply.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION




- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Relevant practical manufacturing experience will be given due consideration.

SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles.
- Practical understanding of SMV, time study and method study.
- Expertise in production line balancing and capacity analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Kaizen will be an advantage.
- Good command of MS Excel and production reporting.
- Ability to independently handle IE activities on the factory floor.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Improvement in assembly line efficiency.
- Increase in production output per operator.
- Effective manpower utilization.
- Reduction in production bottlenecks and idle time.
- Improvement in workflow and production cycle time.
- Accurate SMV calculation and implementation.
- Overall improvement in factory productivity.

- Proven track record in productivity and efficiency improvement.
