VICE PRESIDENT – SECURITY

Role Overview The role is responsible for ensuring all aspects of security and safety across a Pan-India portfolio of commercial office buildings and retail properties (malls). The position will develop and execute security and safety plans, establish systems and processes, manage risks and crisis situations, and ensure the physical safety of occupants, employees and visitors.

Preferred Background: Ex-Servicemen from the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force with strong experience in corporate security, risk management and crisis management will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee security and safety across all commercial office buildings and retail properties across India.

- Develop and execute security and safety plans in line with business requirements and national regulations.

- Define security systems and processes across buildings, and continuously monitor and review them to identify and close gaps.

- Lead disaster and crisis management, including business continuity planning.

- Develop emergency procedures and incident-response arrangements.

- Research and deploy advanced technology solutions and creative security management practices; establish common standards.

- Develop procedures to ensure the physical safety of occupants, employees and visitors.





- Maintain relationships with local police, state law-enforcement agencies and other relevant government authorities.

- Analyse potential threats and vulnerabilities, and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.

- Plan for controlled and monitored evacuation of sites when required.

- Develop a security intelligence network to gather and assess information about occupants, employees, visitors, customers and surrounding public activity, and take preventive action against potential threats.

- Lead security teams and collaborate with Architecture, Projects, Leasing, Technical Services, Operations, PMCs, contractors and external consultants.

Candidate Profile – Essential

- Graduate or Postgraduate.

- 20+ years of experience working in India and/or abroad with a large organisation, preferably in real estate.

- Knowledge of the end-to-end process of security administration.

- Experience handling large and complex operations.

- Exposure to crisis management and risk mitigation.

- Strong people-management capabilities, including management of in-house teams and external service providers.

Desirable

- Strong administrative capabilities.

- High customer orientation.

- Strong systems and process orientation.

- Ex-Armed Forces candidates preferred.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills.

- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage teams.
