About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join our hardware engineering team. The ideal candidate will drive schematic design, board bring-up, and validation for complex digital and mixed-signal systems, with robust exposure to FPGAs, embedded systems, and high-speed digital interfaces. This role requires close collaboration with layout, firmware, and systems teams to deliver robust hardware from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop digital and mixed-signal hardware, including schematic capture and component selection for FPGA-based and embedded systems.
- Architect and implement high-speed digital interfaces, ensuring compliance with protocol and timing specifications.
- Select, interface, and debug mixed-signal components including ADCs, DACs, power management ICs, and clock/timing devices.
- Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BoM), ensuring component availability, cost optimization, and lifecycle management.
- Perform signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis and simulations for high-speed interfaces and power distribution networks.
- Review PCB layouts for signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and manufacturability, working closely with layout designers to resolve issues.
- Lead board bring-up activities including power-on sequencing, functional testing, and debugging using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers & logic analysers.
- Develop and execute test plans for hardware validation, characterization, and compliance testing.




- Collaborate with firmware/embedded software teams on FPGA/embedded system integration and debugging.
- Support root-cause analysis and failure debugging during prototyping, qualification, and production phases.
- Prepare design documentation, test reports, and design review presentations.
- Work with cross-functional teams (mechanical, firmware, and quality).

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in hardware design engineering roles.
- Strong experience with FPGA-based system design and embedded systems architecture.
- Proven expertise in high-speed digital interface design: PCIe, SerDes, 10G Ethernet, and similar protocols. • Solid understanding of mixed-signal design principles, including analog/digital component interfacing.
- Hands-on experience creating and managing Bills of Materials (BoM) for complex multi-layer boards.
- Practical experience with signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis tools and methodologies.
- Experience reviewing and verifying PCB layouts, including stack-up, routing, and grounding strategies for highspeed designs.
- Demonstrated experience in board bring-up, debugging, testing, and validation of complex electronic hardware.
- Proficiency with lab and test equipment.
- Working knowledge of schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, or similar).
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document designs clearly.
